5 THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
1. Gold medal scene
With the Summer Olympics taking place in Tokyo this year, a slew of new hotels are coming to the city – including an EDITION, Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons.
2. A sense of place
Aman will open its third hotel in the United States – the Aman New York on 5th Avenue and 57th Street – creating a unique new urban sanctuary.
3. Get your sunnies out
The hotel scene in Los Angeles continues to thrive with a W, citizenM, Pendry, tommie and Thompson all expected to open this year.
4. All aboard
The very first Orient-Express hotel (under Accor Hotels – the storied travel brand’s new owner), is coming to Bangkok this year.
5. Euro vision
Europe has a handful of delightful openings this year, including a Cheval Blanc and Bulgari Hotel in Paris, the EDITION Reykjavik, and Unscripted in Belgium.
