MASTER DAY SESSIONS

01 / 07

As we emerge from a post-pandemic era with a wholly different global landscape of travel and tourism, technology is redefining how we connect, consume and collaborate. New forces are entering the mainstream and reshaping consumer expectations and loyalty, from the metaverse and NFTs to blockchain and augmented reality.

But is the new/new all sizzle and no substance? What are the competitive levers every hotelier and hospitality provider should prioritise? What are the new drivers of compelling customer experiences? Join Andy Lark, leading global futurist and travel and tourism thought-leader, to decipher the new/new and what it means for you, your business and the future of our industry.

The era of clearly defined spaces is officially over, with the boundaries between our homes, offices and hotels becoming increasingly blurred. For hospitality brands, this drastic change in consumer behaviour has resulted in institutions leaning into a plethora of new commercial and real estate opportunities.

Join two hybrid hospitality trailblazers – Locke Hotels’ Eric Jafari and Ennismore’s Keith Evans – as they explore everything from flexible commercial models and spatial design to the bounty of investment opportunities the new hybrid era offers brands.

Sourcing, training and retaining talent has always been an industry challenge, but how do we react when a challenge becomes a crisis? How can an industry re-think and revolutionise its hiring habits and emerge more effective than before?

Discover the impact of a community-first approach to our industry’s biggest challenges, with industry leader Harsha D’Acqua of Saira Hospitality. Based on learnings from years of global experience, you’ll leave this session with a tangible playbook of methods to source, engage and inspire new talent today, tomorrow and in the future.

The Master Pass crew are hospitality’s C-suite elite: so who better to tackle our industry’s thorniest issues as we weather the post-pandemic storm? This is your chance to work with your fellow industry leaders to workshop solutions to:

  • – Rebranding hospitality and travel in a post-COVID world
  • – Sourcing and attracting diverse talent industry-wide
  • – Retaining good people – and protecting their roles through pandemics, parenthood and beyond

2022 is a year like no other – as we emerge from a pandemic that has shaken the travel sector as we know it, we have new knowledge, new insights, and new lived experiences to bring to the table. But how can we leverage this to influence public policy when it comes to tourism and hospitality?

Policy pioneer, Paul Charles, delves into what we can learn from the last two years and how brands can effectively collaborate with government leaders to land public policy that prioritises the hospitality sector – at a time when luxury travellers’ expectations are higher than ever before.

At their core, strategic brand partnerships are about connecting people. Done right, they are a unique opportunity to deepen client experience and loyalty, while generating lucrative revenue streams and brand awareness in new markets.

Our panel of pros from Auberge Resorts, Black Tomato and Ennismore are here to share the secret sauce to profitable partnerships, including achieving commercial success, evolving partnerships with multiple brands over time, and how to capture the cultural conversation and narrative.

Asking for what you want sounds simple enough. But it’s actually a skill many of us need to hone, refine and practice, from the boardroom (the professional) to the bar (the personal).

In a workplace setting, creating a culture of ‘askers and givers’ is one of the best ways to ensure company growth while also strengthening your internal community. In this interactive workshop – essential as we move into the post-pandemic era – you’ll learn tangible techniques from Marika Frumes, CEO & Founder of community venture Mysha, to help you achieve your personal and professional asks with ease.

Ready to master your industry? Let's do it.
